Product information "Indian Premium Psyllium Husks99 % ground"
Psyllium Husks are the seed shells of Plantago ovata, a plant native to India. The seeds are harvested by hand, sieved and gently dried. Indian Psylliumcontains slime-forming dietary fibres which swell on contact with liquid. Since these swelling substances can be found in the epidermis of the skin, it is separated from the seed by a special process and ground into a fine powder. Psyllium Husk Powderhas a swelling volume that is sometimes 8 times higher than that of the entire seed. The powder is usually dissolved in water or mixed with muesli or yoghurt.
Psyllium Husk Powder 99% has a swelling number of at least 80 ml/g. This specification describes the ability of dietary fibres to multiply their volume by absorbing water. Since the shells contain the highest proportion of swelling substances, Psyllium Husksup to 8 times as much swelling volume is present as the whole seeds. The high purity of powders ground Psyllium Husksto powder leads to an even higher source number, which can be up to 90 ml/g. Consumption recommendation
2-3 times daily 1/2 - 1 heaped TL* in at least 500 ml liquid and whisk with a fork. Allow to swell for approx. 20 minutes and then drink or consume the indicated quantity mixed in muesli or yoghurt. To mix the powder lump-free, first take a very small amount of the powder and possibly add a drop of cooking oil. If the mass becomes too firm, increase the amount of water. Drink enough liquid with it, do not consume dry!

Note: Psyllium seed husk powder is mainly used in industry, for example to produce bakery products. The powder is difficult to mix by hand with liquid. If you value a lump-free mixture, it is better to use psyllium husks.
