Product information "Guarana Powder"
The Guarana plant belongs to the liana family and is native to Brazil in the Amazon region. The evergreen plant grows up to 10 m high. The small red fruits have bitter-tasting seeds inside, from which the caffeine-containing Guarana powder is extracted. The seeds, also known as nuts, are also rich in fat, protein and starch, which is why they have been used for thousands of years by the indigenous peoples for the production of medicine and body care products.
Guarana powder is brownish and its taste reminds of coffee. The difference to the caffeine contained in the coffee bean lies in the tannins to which the caffeine of guarana is bound. The tannins must be completely degraded before the caffeine can be released. The effect of caffeine can last up to 6 hours.
