Product information "Graviola leaf powder"

The graviola is also known as the prickly anon. The shrub with the spherical fruits has its origin in South America and on the Caribbean islands. Today, the tree is widespread in almost all tropical regions, as it was originally planted there as a fruit tree and then also settled outside the plantations. The graviola fruits are not only eaten fresh, but also ground into fruit powder. But even more popular is the powder made from the leaves of the tree.

At first glance, we could easily confuse graviola leaves with bay leaves. They are elongated and symmetrically divided in the middle on a conspicuous stem. Due to their look and feel, they are somewhat reminiscent of shiny leather in a natural green shade. While graviola fruits and leaves are consumed in many countries, they are considered novel food in the EU and are therefore not permitted as food.

Graviola leaves are mainly used dried - whether in their full glory or in the form of a powder. The pretty leaves are gently spread out in the shade so that they can slowly but surely release all their moisture. If a powder is to be made from them, the dried leaves are then finely ground. The khaki-coloured powder smells like freshly mown grass and is very pleasant as a bath additive. The fine natural powder is also popular as an additive in foot baths.

Remark:
The effectiveness of graviola against cancer has not been confirmed by orthodox medicine. However, long-standing international studies refer to the acetogenins contained in graviola, which have been proven to have tumour-inhibiting properties in vitro and in animal experiments. Due to the Novel Food Regulation, we can only declare graviola leaf powder as a bath additive within the EU.

Shelf life and storage

When stored under dry, cool conditions, the product can be kept for at least 2 years after the production date.

Our products are always packaged in pre-packaged containers that are marked with a batch number and a best-before date (imprint or additional label). Until the best-before date, the manufacturer guarantees the unchanged properties of the product in terms of appearance, taste and behaviour during processing. This is not an expiry date, as is the case with fresh produce, for example.

The origin of our products

Raw materials are subject to strict quality controls, which we naturally adhere to. When selecting suppliers in Germany and the countries of origin, we ensure that all European standards are met, that the products are tested in the laboratory and that the analytical data comply with the strict product specifications. Our suppliers have many years of experience and all the certifications required to ensure consistently high quality (e.g. ISO 22000, IFS, BRC, FSSC or similar). We regularly audit our suppliers on site in order to convince ourselves of these high standards and to control all processes in the supply chain.

All products, which originally come from different countries all over the world, are checked in Germany for residues and carefully controlled. Only if a perfect quality is determined, the raw materials are processed further in Germany or filled into finished packages. Ich nutze es tatsächlich als Teerohstoff, weil ich online über die guten Eigenschaften gelesen habe. Es schmeckt sehr gut. Als Badezusatz habe ich es auch verwendet. Ich bestelle es gerne nochmal.
