NUR BIO® rice protein made from sprouted brown rice is a really tasty vegan alternative to cow's milk. And with a protein content of 85%, it clearly belongs in the superlative product category for us!

It is ideal for vegan cooking. Whether vegan protein rice pudding or spelt-rice protein wraps. The possible uses and recipe ideas are versatile and are not limited to shakes and smoothies.

Organic rice protein has a high proportion of essential and non-essential amino acids. The enzyme phytase is formed in the grain during the germination process. This reduces the content of undesirable bioactive substances such as phytic acid. Furthermore, germination increases the biochemical availability of amino acids, including the essential amino acid lysine. The secret lies in the husk of the rice grain. It contains many vital substances such as minerals, vitamins, proteins and plant fats. This explains why unhulled wholegrain rice is so much more nutritious than white rice. Rice protein also has an optimal amino acid profile. Among other things, it contains the three important branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) in high concentrations: isoleucine, valine and leucine.

Our tip: Combine organic pea protein with organic rice protein in a ratio of 30:70. As pea protein does not contain much methionine, which rice protein provides in large quantities, and conversely pea protein compensates for the lack of lysine in rice protein, the two proteins go together perfectly. As with whey protein, the combined amino acid profile is almost complete.

Shelf life and storage

If stored in dry, cool conditions, the product will keep for at least 2 years after the production date.

Our products are always packaged in pre-packaged containers that are labelled with a batch number and a best-before date (printed or additional label). The manufacturer guarantees that the product will retain its appearance, taste and behaviour during processing until the best-before date. It is not an expiry date, as is the case with fresh produce, for example.

Whey protein is obtained from whey, a by-product of milk used in the manufacture of curd or cheese. Whey consists of 94 % water.
