The Yacon is a widespread plant in South America, one of the oldest useful plants. It is eaten as fruit in its home country as well as processed in other foodsweiter. Already with the Incas the tuber was used as a natural sweetener. The brown yacon root is pressd out to produce the completely natural, fresh and aromatic sugar substitute. The juice is thickened at 45 °C without weiterany additives and pasteurized to 80 °C by heating it briefly. This makes it very durable in a natural way.

Due to its low glycemic index, Yacon Syrup is also suitable for diabetics to sweeten food and drinks. With only half the calories, Yacon Syrup is a very attractive alternative to household sugar.

When stored under dry, cool conditions, the product has a shelf life of at least 2 years after the production date.
