Yummy Yacon Syrup is an ideal partner when it comes to the topic of natural, calorie-reduced sweetness, because it fits perfectly with a sporty lifestyle. Because of its low glycaemic index, yacon syrup fits the diet not only of nutrition-conscious athletes, but also of diabetics.
Good to know: The South American yacon plant is one of the oldest useful plants of all. In its native country, it is eaten as fresh fruit or processed in food as a natural sugar additive. The Incas already appreciated the yacon tuber for its sweet taste and used it in their dishes. Yacon is freshly pressed, thickened at 45 °C without any additives and finally heated briefly to 80 °C so that the aromatic thick juice stays fresh for a long time.
