NUR BIO® Chlorella powder is obtained from algae. It is rich in vegetable proteins and is therefore a valuable addition to the daily diet. Vegetarians and vegans in particular appreciate the freshwater algae because of its enormous protein content to enhance their diet.
This product is part of our premium line NUR BIO®, which stands for healthy nutrition for the highest demands. Chlorella is a freshwater algae that has been found on Earth for around 2 billion years. The adaptable plant has been known in Asia for thousands of years and is highly valued for its high nutrient content. The algae is found in fresh water in most countries around the world. However, today the freshwater algae is produced in specially constructed plants to prevent contamination. Around 2,000 tonnes of chlorella are produced annually in Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea.
Organic Chlorella is cultivated in open-air tanks in clear water. To ensure ideal growth conditions, microalgae need plenty of sunlight and optimal environmental conditions. During the growth period, the special outdoor cultivation tanks and algae plants are constantly monitored to prevent contamination with microorganisms. NUR BIO® Chlorella Powder is produced in accordance with strict EU guidelines, which prohibit the use of pesticides and fertilisers, for example.
During production, the cell walls of the microalgae are gently broken open in order to preserve the ingredients. The algae are then cleaned and spray-dried at a temperature below 40°C. To generate powder, the raw material is finely ground and then sieved.
NUR BIO® Chlorella powder contains no colourings, additives or preservatives. The product is gluten-free, vegan and has raw food quality. This means that the product is not heated above 40°C during production. The nutrients are fully preserved. We do not use any fillers or anti-caking agents during production.

Consume 1 teaspoon daily dissolved in liquid before or with meals or sprinkle over food and consume.
Raw materials are subject to strict quality controls, which we naturally adhere to. When selecting suppliers in Germany and the countries of origin, we ensure that all European standards are met, that the products are tested in the laboratory and that the analytical data comply with the strict product specifications. Our suppliers have many years of experience and all the certifications required to ensure consistently high quality (e.g. ISO 22000, IFS, BRC, FSSC or similar). We regularly audit our suppliers on site in order to convince ourselves of these high standards and to control all processes in the supply chain.
We focus on sustainability and want to meet the highest demands. That is why Golden Peanut offers you products of German quality. All products, which originally come from different countries all over the world, are checked in Germany for residues and carefully controlled. Only if a perfect quality is determined, the raw materials are processed further in Germany or filled into finished packages. In order to ensure marketability, we have our product labels checked for correct declaration before they are placed on the market.
