The versatile talents of organic guarana have been known and appreciated by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon region for thousands of years. Today, guarana powder is used worldwide to enrich food and drinks to boost energy or as a coffee substitute. The ground seeds of the evergreen guarana plant are very similar in flavour to coffee, but have significantly more natural caffeine.
The seeds, often referred to as nuts, contain fat, protein and starch. The special ingredient that makes the significant difference to coffee is the high content of tannins, to which the naturally contained caffeine is bound, so that it is released very slowly and remains available for a long time. For this reason, guarana is said to be better tolerated than coffee beans.
The brownish powder with the typical bitter flavour of coffee is an excellent ingredient in invigorating drinks, but also goes well in many baking recipes such as waffles or pastries. And if you don't like the taste of coffee, you can simply refine a delicious guarana milk or yoghurt dish with guarana with tasty coconut blossom sugar or yacon syrup. This way, the bitter flavour fades into the background for a naturally mild sweetness.

Add approx. 5 g daily to liquids such as smoothies, milk, water or juice or to muesli or yoghurt and consume. Alternatively, use in small quantities as an ingredient in baked goods.
