Product information "Organic guar gum 5.000 cps."
Organic guar gum in a 10 kg container is a natural alternative to starch. The specification 5000 cps. describes the viscosity of the product. The higher the viscosity, the thicker the product becomes when combined with water or liquid. We offer two common viscosities in bulk: 3500 cps and 5000 cps. 5000 cps is called high viscosity.
The natural product originates from the northwest of India and western Pakistan. The flour from the guar bean is almost odourless and tasteless and 8 times more effective than conventional binders made from corn starch and produces a soft, smooth and homogeneous texture. It is particularly suitable for ice cream production, effectively prevents the formation of ice crystals and ensures a creamy consistency of the ice cream mass. Guar gives sauces and dressings a homogeneous texture, as solid components do not separate from the liquid ones.

Shelf life and storage
When stored under dry, cool conditions, the product can be kept for at least 2 years after the production date.
Our products are always packaged in pre-packaged containers that are marked with a batch number and a best-before date (imprint or additional label). Until the best-before date, the manufacturer guarantees the unchanged properties of the product in terms of appearance, taste and behaviour during processing. This is not an expiry date, as is the case with fresh produce, for example.

Recommended use
Starch can be replaced with guar gum in recipes. One-tenth of the amount of starch normally used is sufficient for guar gum with a viscosity of 5000 cps.
